Family Relationship and Counseling Services
A harmonious family relationship gives us strength to face challenges in life. Towards this end, Family Council has produced and promulgated to the community a series of Announcements of Public Interest and Family Education Videos with positive and motivating messages to promote the family core values.
Meanwhile, online "rescue and resource" kits are also available:
- Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau is tasked with co-ordinating policies and measures across the public sector, non-government organisation (NGOs) and the community to combat the problem of drug abuse. "Stand Firm! Knock Drugs Out" is the theme of the anti-drug campaign launched since July 2010.
- Integrated Family Service Centres, operated by the Social Welfare Department and subvented non-governmental organisation (NGOs), provide a spectrum of preventive, supportive and remedial welfare services for individuals and families in need. - The Family and Child Protective Services Units are specialized units operated by the Social Welfare Department to assist the families with the problems of child abuse and spouse /cohabitant battering to restore normal functioning and to safeguard the interest of the children affected by custody/guardianship disputes and referred by the Courts.
- The Specialised Co-parenting Support Centre, subvented by the Social Welfare Department and operated by Non-governmental organisation (NGOs), provides one-stop support service for separated/divorced families, assists the parents to handle child care and contact arrangement based on the child-focused principle and provides support service for their children. - Caritas Family Crisis Support Centre aims at tackling family crisis at an early stage by providing a package of integrated and easily accessible services to assist individuals or families in crisis or distress. Services provided include 24-hour hotline service (18288), short-term accommodation, crisis intervention, counseling / casework services, support groups / programmes and other referral services.
- CEASE Crisis Centre provides crisis intervention and support services, including 24-hour hotline, outreaching services and short-term accommodation, for victims of sexual violence and individuals or families in crisis. If in need, dial the hotline of the Centre : 18281.
